A patient suffering from acute heart failure needed to be transferred to Vienna General Hospital (AKH) for further treatment. A mobile heart-lung machine was used to make the transport possible.<\/p>\n<p>Together with our team of specialists, we were able to safely transfer the patient to Vienna. This was the first time such a mission involving a mobile ECMO was completed during a flight.
