Concrete transport by helicopter.
Kitz-Air ensures that the construction site runs smoothly, no matter how difficult it is to reach.
Liquid concrete is required for all construction projects in mountainous areas. However, not every construction site in the mountains is accessible by concrete mixer truck. And even when it is, transporting the concrete up the mountain is usually very time-consuming and laborious, harmful to the environment, and often dangerous as well.
Using a helicopter often allows for more efficient operations.
The helicopter stands ready with large buckets at the designated departure site. Concrete can be delivered there easily and simply by truck. At the departure site, the concrete is then loaded into the buckets, which the helicopter delivers directly up to the construction site in the mountains.
The hourly output for helicopter transport varies depending on the flight distance. However, 10 m³ of liquid concrete per flight hour is certainly achievable. One flight assistant supports the transport flight at both the loading and unloading sites.
