Kitz-Air GmbH was founded in May 2012 and has been licensed by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) as an Austrian air operator (AOC AOT781-341/01-14 C) since May 2017.
Since 2015, our base has been located in Erpfendorf near Kitzbühel in Tyrol. With our own heliport “LOJE,” which has been in operation since 2023, we have ideal conditions for flexible missions in all directions.
Kitz-Air stands for professional helicopter operations in the fields of heavy-lift, transport, and special missions.
From our base in the Alps, we carry out complex projects across Europe for industry, energy providers, construction companies, and public sector clients.
Our range of services includes precisely planned transport and assembly flights, in which we safely and efficiently deliver even the most demanding loads to their destination – including in high alpine terrain or hard-to-reach regions. In doing so, we combine many years of operational experience with state-of-the-art technology and the highest safety standards.
Our versatile and high-performance fleet enables a wide range of operations – from light, flexible aircraft to heavy-lift helicopters such as the Super Puma. This allows us to meet a wide variety of requirements with precision and efficiency.
Another key area of operation is firefighting: internationally, we are active in countries such as Turkey, Greece, and southern Italy, where we contribute effectively to combating wildfires with powerful equipment and well-coordinated crews.
In close cooperation with our partner company Heli Transair, with bases in the Frankfurt region and in South Tyrol, Italy, we combine aviation expertise, technical competence, and international operational capability. This partnership enables us to carry out even large-scale projects in a flexible and efficient manner.
In addition to our specialized missions, we also offer sightseeing flights, VIP and taxi flights, as well as exclusive experience flights to selected destinations in the Alps and beyond – tailored, comfortable, and at the highest level.
