Kitz-Air GmbH was founded in May 2012 and has been licensed as an Austrian air operator by EASA (AOC AOT781-341/01-14 C) since May 2017.
Since 2015, our base of operations has been located in Erpfendorf near Kirchdorf in Tyrol. With our own heliport “LOJE,” operational since 2023, we benefit from optimal conditions for flexible missions in all directions.
Kitz-Air stands for professional helicopter operations in the fields of heavy-lift, transport, and specialized missions. From our Alpine base, we execute complex projects across Europe for industrial clients, energy providers, construction companies, and public-sector organizations.
Our range of services includes precisely planned transport and installation flights, enabling us to move even the most demanding loads safely and efficiently to their destination – including in high alpine terrain and hard-to-reach areas. In doing so, we combine many years of operational experience with state-of-the-art technology and the highest safety standards.
Our versatile and high-performance fleet allows for a wide spectrum of operations – from light, flexible aircraft to heavy-lift helicopters such as the Super Puma. This enables us to meet a broad range of requirements with precision and economic efficiency.
Another key area of operation is firefighting. We are active internationally, including in Turkey, Greece, and Southern Italy, where we contribute effectively to wildfire suppression with powerful equipment and highly experienced crews.
In close cooperation with our partner company Heli Transair, with locations in the Frankfurt region as well as in South Tyrol/Italy, we combine aviation expertise, technical capability, and international operational reach. This partnership enables us to execute large-scale projects with flexibility and efficiency.
In addition to our specialized missions, we also offer scenic flights, VIP and charter services, as well as exclusive experience flights to selected destinations in the Alps and beyond – tailored, comfortable, and at the highest level.
