An extraordinary helicopter operation marked another milestone in the development of the new attraction on Hohe Salve. On behalf of Bergbahnen Söll, Kitz-Air transported the new SalvenSonne sculpture by helicopter to the summit and positioned the approximately 1.6-ton artwork with pinpoint accuracy at its permanent location within the new Sky Labyrinth.

Using its powerful Sokol helicopter, Kitz-Air’s experienced team successfully completed the demanding external load operation at an altitude of 1,829 metres above sea level. The precise installation of the golden sculpture required meticulous planning, seamless coordination between the pilot and ground crew, and the highest level of aerial precision.

The SalvenSonne will become the centrepiece of the new adventure world on Hohe Salve. Together with the Planet Ball Tracks and the Sky Labyrinth, it creates a unique destination that combines nature, movement, and educational experiences. Symbolising warmth, guidance, and vitality, the sculpture adds another remarkable highlight to the visitor experience on one of Tyrol’s most scenic mountain peaks.

“Operations like this demonstrate what our work is all about: precision, experience, and perfect teamwork between everyone involved,” says the Kitz-Air team. “What visitors will later see as a natural part of the attraction is the result of careful planning, technical expertise, and a strong sense of responsibility.”

Kitz-Air would like to thank Bergbahnen Söll for their trust and is proud to have contributed to the realization of this unique new attraction on Hohe Salve through this special helicopter operation.
